HAMTA PASS TREK
Hamta Pass is one of the most amazing treks for beginners to start with Himalayan trekking. The trek route is remarkably rich with vegetation and has lot of scenic landscapes and huge rock formations. 
                                The Trek starts from Hamta Dam, follows through the lush green meadow of Chikka campsite, continues to vast patch of snow covered landscape and takes one atop of Hamta Pass which offers some of the most amazing of both the valleys – Manali and Spiti.

HAMTA PASS TREK
Day 1:
It's an overnight (12-14 hr) journey to Patlikuhal stop (20 km before Manali). Bus will stop 1-2 places in between for dinner. Next morning bus will drop you between 6-9 am.
Get down at Patlikuhal stop and our pick-up vehicle will take to our Rumsu base camp.

Day 2:
First Day is kept for rest and Acclimatisation. For reaching base camp on time, one should board a bus for Manali with reaching time before 9 am. Get down 20 kms before at a junction called "Patli-kuhal". Our cabs are already present there from 7 am to 9 am to take you to Rumsu base camp. Participants coming after 9 am have to take a share cab for Rumsu village by their own, which is 11 kms from Patlikuhal.
Once you reach Camp, you will undergo registration process and then for an acclimatisation walk. After walk participants will be distributed Trekking bags, Microspikes( for better grip on slippery snow), Gaiters( to prevent snow enter your shoes) and trekking sticks.
Day 3:
After morning breakfast we will start the day’s trek with a beautiful drive to Hamta dam from Rumsu at 8 am. The trek to Chikka starts from Hamta Dam and is easy. It takes around 2-3 hours to complete it. There is a small forest patch and then two wooden bridges before you reach the campsite. Chikka has big rock boulders and a beautiful waterfall. Overnight in tents at Chikka.
Day 4:
After morning breakfast we will start the trek for Balu Ka Ghera. Trek duration is around 4 to 5 hours from Chikka to Balu ka Ghera scaling 11900 feet. The initial part of the trek goes through the bank of the river crossing few rock boulders. There is a water stream that needs to be crossed on the way.
Balu ka Ghera is a large plain ground on the bank of the river and camping at this spot is a dream in reality. One can spot Indrasan, the highest peak of Manali valley from here. Snacks would be served in the evening followed by dinner. Overnight camping at Balu Ka Ghera.
Day 5:
Today’s trek starts early as we will try covering the maximum snow patch before sun rise. The trek route from Balu Gehra towards Hamta Pass is a moderate climb, scaling 4,200 meters. The trek route is covered with snow, so starts by 6 am in the morning from Balu ka Gera. It takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach the top of the Hamta Pass.
We will then descend back to Jwara camp site. Overnight stay at Jwara.
Day 6:
After morning breakfast we will start our descend to Hamta dam via the same route.The descend is normal and takes around 5 hours. Jeep Ride to Rumsu base camp.
Day 7:
From morning till 4 pm in evening participants can go for paragliding, rafting or seeing on their expense. They have to report at 4 pm at Manali bus stand for boarding the bus. The extra luggage deposited at Rumsu base camp will be delivered at Manali bus stand. Participants can collect the luggage and board their bus.

Day 8:
Between 6-9 am bus will drop you at Majnu ka Tila bus point.
Please book your flight/trains running after 11 am or later for today. Breaksfast : Not included
TOUR INCLUDES:-
         ➢ Accommodation : Stay will be in tents on triple sharing basis at all
camps. Stay for male and female is separate.
➢ Meals : Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. We provide simple,
nutritious veg/Jain food on all days of the trek.
➢ Rucksack : A 60 litre bag with rain cover is provided for using in
trekking. You can deposit your extra luggage with your bags at our
campsite.
➢ Camping charges : All trekking permits and forest camping
charges are included.
➢ Trekking equipment : High quality tents and sleeping bags in all
the camps. Sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -
10 oC.
➢ Gaiters: It prevent snow from entering inside your shoes. 
Including SL train tickets and Bus travel from Chandigarh station
to Kasol Base Camp.
➢ Safety equipment : First aid kit, oxygen cylinders, oximeter etc.
will be with guide/trek leader and at campsite as well to deal with
emergencies.
➢ Expert trek Leaders : All our trek leaders are at least qualified in
basic/ advanced mountaineering and first aid course.
➢ Expert Trek support team: The mountain staff on this trek consists
of certified guides, cooks, helpers and porters.

TOUR EXCLUDES:-

THINGS TO CARRY:-
         ➢ Trekking shoes: Carry water proof trekking shoes with good grip
and ankle support. Do not carry spots shoes.
➢ Jackets: Carry three jackets - a hard shell type that can protect you
against rain and cold wind, a warm jacket padded type for the
camp and a fleece as an additional layer for warmth during the
trek.
➢ Three trek pants: Carry a minimum of 2 trek pants and 1 cotton
pant. Trek pants should be quick dry material. Denim/jeans and
shorts are not suitable for trekking.
➢ Three trek t-shirts (quick dry/dry-fit): Full sleeved t-shirts that
prevent sun burns on the neck and arms and are quick dry will be
recommended.
➢ Thermals: Carry thermal base layer (top and bottom).
➢ Sunglasses: Sunglasses are mandatory. There will be lot of snow
on the trek and can cause snow blindness.
➢ Sun Cap: At high altitude, the sun is extra harsh so carry a cap to
protect yourself. A woollen cap or scarf can be quite helpful for
the cold nights. 
➢ Water proof hand gloves: Carry water proof gloves. Avoid woollen
gloves as they will get wet if you touch snow.
➢ Cotton Socks: (3-4 pairs) and a pair of woollen socks.
➢ Headlamp/LED torch: Mandatory
➢ Raincoat/Ponchos: At high altitudes, snowfall and rain are quite
common and it’s mandatory to carry a poncho so that you don’t
get wet. A poncho is made from a watertight material designed to
keep the body dry from the rain. It covers the whole body with the
backpack. We rent a Poncho at 300 INR per person.
➢ Plastic Packet/Garbage Bag: Carry a minimum of 3-4. These can be
quite helpful to give an extra protection to your clothing against
getting wet during the rain. These can be also used to store
garbage.
➢ First Aid Kit: It is advisable to carry a basic medical kit comprising
items like Cotton, Blister tape, savlon, antiseptic cream, band aids,
crepe band aid, pain spray and few medicines like Diamox,
Dexmethasone, Disprin and few antibiotics.
➢ Toiletries: Carry a minimum of items like mouth wash, sun’s
cream, hand sanitiser and a small towel.
      
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:-
          ➢ Emergency during trek: In case of any emergency Kailashrath will
take necessary measures for your return to the base camp. A staff
will accompany you. He may not be some trained personnel.
Doctors do not go along with a team. ‘Kailashrath Treks’ leaders
are trained to administer first aid and know how to deal with
issues related to the mountains. Registering for this trek is an
understanding that you are aware of AMS, HAPE and HACE related
difficulties on a high-altitude trek.
➢ Route change/postponement/delay/completing the trek earlier:
Under some extraordinary circumstance, your trek may end a day
earlier or start a day later due to inclement weather, snow and ice
conditions, political restrictions or any other cause. In the event of
a change, postponement or delay, participants have no right to
refund of the trek or other compensation for any injury, loss or
damage.
➢ Drinking and smoking: Smoking and drinking are strictly
prohibited. Buying drugs or any illegal material is strictly
prohibited, the participant will be detained and handed over to
government authority.
➢ Safety: Our camp leaders will conduct routine health checks at all
camps to measure oxygen saturation, bp. Camp leader reserves the right to exclude any trekker from climbing higher on the trek
without refund if the trekker’s vital readings are below accepted
norms for that altitude.
➢ These norms are available with our camp leaders. Your trek leader
will also be carrying medical kit which includes basic first aid and
high-altitude sickness medicines and will also be
carrying an oxygen cylinder throughout the trek.
➢ Note: Any dispute between the company and party (seeking
services from the company), which are related to jurisdiction, are
subjected to Kullu High Court.
      
CANCELLATION POLICIES:-
        ➢ If the guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then she/he shall give a written application to the company within a specified time limit along with the original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract the cancellation charges stated hereunder.
➢ Cancellation charges will be calculated on Total Tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure & the date of cancellation.
➢ Cancellation charges for any mode of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
➢ Air ticket issued on special fare are non-refundable and the guest shall bear cancellation charges.
➢ Any refund payable to the guest will be paid after the company receives refund from the respective authorities. The company deducts processing charges from the refund which is to be paid to the guest.
➢ Booking amount is Strictly non-refundable.
60 and more days prior to the departure:     25% of the tour cost is deducted.
31 days to 60 days prior to the departure:     50% of the tour cost is deducted.
16 days to 30 days prior to departure tour:   75% of the tour cost is deducted.
15 days prior to the departure:                      100% deduction will be done.
      
CHANGES IN THE ITINERARY:-
        ➢ The Company reserves the right to modify or alter the tour itinerary in case of force majeure conditions. Changes shall be informed to the guests as soon as possible. Any additional charges, if applicable, are to be paid by the guest.
➢ The Company reserves the right to change (addition/deletion on exchange) sightseeing places for betterment of the tour programme.
➢ If sightseeing timings aren't adhered to, or if an any add-ons are required then the same will be borne by the guests.
➢ Sightseeing days and closing of a particular sightseeing place are not in our hand, but we try our level best to cover all the sightseeing listed in the tour program. Sightseeing of adventurous types is totally dependent on weather.
